Less than 2 hours drive north of Rome or south of Assisi, the property is best reached by car. The property is near to Spoleto, Assisi and Todi and a few hours from Florence. If you do not wish to drive your car to Rome or Florence or further afield, you can drive to Spoleto and catch the train to Rome or Florence.

The restaurants are very happy to cater for special events and have catered for many weddings. There is a catholic church in the small village of Macerino.
A nearby country style grocery offers a deli and home grown vegetables and wine. There is a coffee shop next door.
The vast forests surrounding the castle are rich with truffle, asparagus and Mushroom, wild boar and deer, and offer a kaleidoscope of colour throughout the seasons.
